Intention and Leadership

When referring to the marketing and strategy concept of Banding, we used to understand that it was a tool for selling things. But with the ever-changing markets, we can use that term as a synonym for influence.

Branding is much more than having a compelling brand that works in synergy with the brand’s values. Everything done while considering it, is aimed to make a customer decide that what you are selling is better than the other. It is about synchronizing the needs of a market with your product and letting them know why you are their best option. It is about convincing an audience.

The key and most distinctive aspect of Branding is the fact that it is done with intention. With it, a brand can simply and effectively communicate its strategy, reaching a target or a goal. Knowing the market can help understand new areas of opportunity and direct that brand’s efforts to reach new markets or reinvent itself.

Same as reshaping a brand, we can use intention to make changes in a group we lead. Any leader can repair their group interaction to create synergy by setting up an aim and addressing key points that appear from different situations. Understanding, that a well-formed team that supports each other is more beneficial to the work than a poorly related one.

Just like one of the principles of Branding, as leaders, we not only can orchestrate a process, we also have the power to create proper interaction between our team, influencing each person in it. Therefore, next time you set a new endeavor or find your team is not functioning adequately, set a goal towards synergy and work with the intention towards fixing that issue at hand. “Rebrand” that team.
